Mild discomfort during treatment may be experienced by the client. Typically, the discomfort is temporary during the procedure and localised within the treatment area. Adjust energy setting to maintain acceptable levels of client discomfort. Mild edema (swelling) and erythema (redness) may occur. Initial studies indicate that these side effects typically resolve within 2–24 hours.
